New Heidi Mortensen Remix + Tour Dates
There's a new Heidi Mortenson remix available from Heidi's Soundcloud. The remix will be free to download for a week.
Heidi says of the remix:
"It's made by British artist TOBIAS SCHMIDT who's been quite an inspiration to me since I started recording electronic music - say 12 years ago. Toby (his real name) was back then the only one from the wonky techno crew who used his voice. Even if it was half talking with a low-fi microphone sounding like it went through a guitar amp, I felt like this was the missing link to my music."
There's also a brand new video for the remix: http://vimeo.com/38273617
Heidi Mortenson will go on Tour in Denmark next month:
13/4 - Stars. Vordingborg
27/4 - Lyd og Literatur Festival. Radar. Aarhus
05/5 - Click Festival. Helsingør
11/5 - Radar. with Rumpistol. Aarhus
12/5 - Ideal Bar. with Rumpistol. Copenhagen
17/5 - Studenterhuset. with Rumpistol. Aalborg
18/5 - Kulisselageret. with Rumpistol. Horsens
"Floating" - New album from Rumpistol
Danish electronic artist Rumpistol, aka Jens B. Christiansen, releases his fourth and most extroverted album yet – Floating – a collaboration with LA based vocalist Red Baron that further explores the post dub-step vocal territories opened up on last year’s Talk To You EP.
With tighter song structures, intimate lyrics and the Baron’s ecstatic vocal projections, the two create a parallel world in which the domestic breakdowns of wintry Copenhagen are filtered through surreal sun-bleached Californian dreams, resulting in a robotic and hypnagogic hybrid of soul.
The album will be out the 13th of April through PROJECT: MONCIRCLE (DE + WORLD) & VME (DK) but you can already preorder it here: LP & DIGITAL.
Find out more about the album here.
New video for "Et Stykke Mindre"
"Et Stykke Mindre" is taken from Heidi Mortenson's upcoming "Mørk EP", which will be released the 5th of March, 2012.
The video is directed by Heidi Mortenson herself based on timelapse footage shot in Dakota, US by Randy Halverson: http://vimeo.com/36566839
There is also a brand new interview with Heidi over at the AIAIAI blog: http://aiaiai.dk/blog/interview-heidi-mortenson.
